Puppy Development

Our Puppy Policies:

All of our Weimaraner puppies are sold to approved homes only. To help us better understand your family and the need for a Weimaraner puppy, we ask that you fill out and send us a puppy application. For whatever reason that you may be unable to fill out an application, feel free to call us for the a phone interview. Also, to better help you understand what is expected from us through the puppy adoption process here are our policies:

•All puppies are sold with a spay/neuter contract and/or Limited AKC Registration. We recommend that puppies are spayed or neutered by 18 months of age. 

•Once your application has been submitted and approved then we will require a deposit of 25% of the purchase price of the puppy, half of which is refudable should you change your mind for any reason.

Puppies are chosen after temperament testing, conformation evaluation and bird work has been completed. We choose puppies for homes that we believe match the personality of the home as well as what you will be doing with your puppy. IE hunting, competition or pet/hunting partner etc. We welcome your thoughts on puppies as we are choosing so please give us your input.

•Puppies are chosen by 7- 8 weeks of age. We will place a colored ribbon or collar on your puppy of choice. You will pick the puppy up at 8 weeks of age.

•Cash, checks, money orders, or paypal are all forms of payment that we accept. However, check payments must be recieved at 6 weeks of age to insure enough clearence time. 

•We will keep puppys after set pick up date if needed due to certain circumstances. However, there will be $15.00 per day charge added to the cost of the puppy.

Puppy Reservation Process

•While we do not require an official application to reserve one of our puppies, I accept inquiries via email and phone. Before I accept a deposit to hold one of our puppies I do want to ensure that all questions are answered by our new families and that we are able to offer a suitable puppy to your home.

•Often we will have a wait list for some of our upcoming litters. Families on our wait list are contacted once we have a confirmed breeding and a deposit of 25% of total price is required to hold your spot. Please note: deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE- we cannot refund your deposit simply because you change your mind. This creates multiple issues as other families have been turned down while we were holding your spot. Deposits are only refunded in the unfortunate case that we are unable to provide your puppy due to illness or death.

•Puppies will matched to homes at the 7 week age after temperament testing. bird work and conformation evaluations are completed. This will be done by photos/video---please note that we will no longer accept visitors for puppy gazing. This is a direct recommendation by our veterinarian to increase biosecurity measures to keep our puppies safe & healthy in order to come home to you. I am more than willing to work with each family individually to make certain you receive a compatible puppy for your home. While there is always some difference in personality amongst a litter, all of our puppies are raised from parent breeds in a consistent manner to produce wonderful family friendly pups that are socialized by our family with children. We are happy to offer references from other puppy families if you wish. If you are not comfortable picking your puppy without a visit you may elect to wait on standby until puppies are 8 weeks old—IF there are any puppies available at that time you may pick your puppy and take home the same day.

•Puppies are ready to leave for their forever homes at 8 weeks of age. Please do not reserve a puppy if you are not able to pick up your puppy during this time. It is only fair that our puppies are introduced to their new homes at this age in order to settle in appropriately and not be the only pup left. I am completely flexible up to 1 week- with a small fee for care, any time after this must be discussed individually and an additional fee may be inferred to cover medical and boarding expense.

•Deposits are accepted by check or through Paypal for your convenience. Please note: deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE except in the unfortunate circumstance that something happens here where your puppy is no longer available. If for some reason your puppy preference is not available when your turn arrives to pick (ex: sex or color has already been picked ahead of you)- we can forward your deposit to our next available litter.

•Balance due at pick-up needs to be in the form of cash or bank cashier check- we will not accept personal checks at pick-up. If you are having your puppy transported the balance must be paid in full before your puppy leaves.

•We are able to work with you to arrange transport via personal ground transport services. Quotes and estimates will be given on an individual basis based on mileage
