Rebel
Hello Dawna,
We are all doing well, Rebel is getting huge, I call him my monster! He is going to be way bigger than my Doolee girl! He is not quite 6 months and already he is as big as her (she is close to 65lbs) we are actually going to the vet tomorrow, so I can tell you how much he weighs tomorrow! He still has blue eyes, and he cracks us up! I can definatly tell he is a boy because he just jumps into everything! He is a great swimmer! It is now pheasant season here so we have been going out every week end. Doolee, of course, is doing excellent and Rebel is trying but has yet to fully understand what the whole concept is! Although he loves the pheasant wings. He is doing well with his training. Some of that comes with age and maturity. He needs to grow into his body. He gets to running and he sometimes trips himself! He then gives you this look of I meant to do that!! I do have some good pictures that I took a couple of months ago. I will try to get them in the mail to you! Rebel has really started to find his own personality! At first, he was just a talker and did not really want to be suggled and he really wanted to be right with Doolee. She did not really want him around because she was used to being the baby, and now he was taking that place. Now she loves him and they are always lying right on top of each other. Rebel would love nothing better than to spend the entire night on the bed, at my feet. He does, however, when told, jump right up and get into his crate for the night. He is also the alarm clock! 5:30am every morning he is rattling the crate door. He has been wonderful, and easy to train, it always makes it easier when you have one that is already trained! He just has to follow suite, which he does with out a problem! Thank you for letting us have one of your beautiful animals, we are blessed to have him!

We picked up Truman at the airport and he popped out of his crate.....like here I am and let's get going....show me everything you got! He has been shopping at Pet Smart, running on the grass at Keenland Race track, to the family dog run and lake. Chris held him up over the water and his feet went wild paddling...he put him in close to the edge and he knew what to do. He has played with clumps of grass and with the biggest of dogs. He gave Dory and Lucy some grief by biting and rough housing with them but they tolerate it well.
In fact, Dory tends to mother Truman....such a neat sight. Truman also visited Dr. Jack who jokingly stated that Truman was a really stressed puppy.....for he laid curled up on exam table the whole time.
Gee, oh my, what a nose he has. He can smell dog food two rooms away...he's eating like a little pig. Chris and I think he's grown 2" since he's been in KY.
Chris is really pleased with him and of course I am too. My house is now filled with dog toys, beds, dog food and food dishes....aren't grandchildren great!
I now have an excuse to not pick up. HA.....
Keep in touch,
Sharion

Hi, Dawna!
I hope you and your family had a great holiday! Ours was quite nice. We all (yes, Weimaraner included)
piled in our car and made the trek to my parents in Delaware. I had high aspirations for getting Zoe to the
beach for a nice romp in the sand, but as we were driving (actually, most of the journey was spent sitting
in traffic in Annapolis), a lovely “nor’easter” started building. The winds were insane and the rains wild! Zoe
didn’t mind though, she was just happy to be able to run like a wild dog with her best dog friend, Zeke,
my parents Vizsla. So, needless to say, she a had a great Thanksgiving!
Other than that, things are going fairly well, here in PA. Zoe is the best dog! She just loves being with us
at all times. I take her everywhere! We have been going on lots of hikes through the woods and mountains.
She loves this! When we get to the park, she jumps out of the car smiling and ready to go! I love having
such an enthusiastic companion! The weather has been so mild here. It’s unbelievable! Of course, Zoe
has many hobbies: unstuffing any stuffed toy she gets her mouth on (she is obsessive about it, she gets
so intense on finding the weakness structurally, she cannot stop until the job is done and there is white
fluff all over the place), also, she is a huge fan of chasing balls in the yard, and a couple of weeks ago,
my in laws were out of town and we went down to feed their horses, Zoe discovered that she loves to
chase horses, dig in mud and get really dirty! She was hysterical, leaping from bank to bank of the stream,
racing around!
Can you tell I love my weimy? She is the best dog and has truly completed my life. She is so gorgeous
too! She seems to have reached her full size and she is muscular and slim and her coat is such a lovely
color and so soft! She is so happy! Thanks for giving us the best dog in the world!
Enjoy the rest of your holidays!

Dawna, hey there, we're interested in getting another dog from you. I'm the guy who meet you on the Montana/Wyoming border to get Elly from you. She's been an amazing bird dog in her first year. Her Father is Gunner. Please give me a call asap as I will be heading to the Spearfish area to visit my brother in the next month or two. Thanks, look forward to hearing from you.

Elle on point....Elle
is one year old and this was her first year hunting...... Go Elle!!
Hi Dawna,
Thanks, she is SUCH a doll!! I do have a few pics I will attach. We camped with her lots this summer, she swam in the ocean off Vancouver Island and just loved it. We also went white water rafting and she did great. She is such a character and very talkative. Couldn't ask for a better Weimy. She is about 50lbs now and starting to fill out a little bit. She was so gangly and skinny this spring, from running with the Whippets we couldn't keep weight on her. Everyone kept asking if she was part Greyhound.....kinda funny! We were like....Ah no. But shes looking great now! She is very protective of the kids and I, and she does not tolerate men approching us. Of course except for Andrew. She is so harlarious, I atually have a video of her right after she had a bath that I will have to send you.
Other then our many adventures with Jak this summer everything is really good here. Everybody is back in school and I am into my busy season again.
You will have to let me know whatever you need and I will get it made and shipped right away. How is Indy doing? I still have those pictures you sent me of him, he is a beautiful dog. Have you guys had many litters this spring/summer? I have been meaning to get on your website and get updated on all the new babies.
It was great to hear from you, don't be a stranger!!! I will try to get some more pics of Jak Jak and send you that video.
Talk to ya soon.

Hey Dawna,
I just wanted to give you an update on Ruger after his second hunt in South Dakota over Thanksgiving. Ruger exceeded my expectations by far during this last hunting trip. He was unbelievable for a 7 month old pup. It didnt even take him one drive to get ready. The very first drive he was flushing up birds for me and also retrieving them and bringing them back to me. After a day of hunting he was starting to point and would then flush up the birds on my command. I do think he was a little mad at me for missing the roosters! But he still kept on pointing. Ruger did 110% better the second time I went out there. I was so impressed with him to be do that well at 7 months old. He's going to be an awesome hunter with more practice. Both his nose and his lips were raw from having his face down in the grass smelling for birds. Then at the end of the day both Ruger and Charger would eat their food and then curl up on a folding lawn chair and take a nap while we ate. Dad's got some pictures of that we can send you. Dana and I are very very happy with Ruger he is a wonderful dog to have around the house and we are happy that you picked him out for us. Ruger does get a little spoiled at home and likes to cuddle on the couch or in bed with us so he has is kind of rough. Once I get the pictures from Dad I will send you them so you can see how Ruger has grown.
