Sire is 2xNAFC AFC Aztec's American Pie, JH, SDX--aka "Chevy." Chevy made the Weimaraner Club of America's Top Ten list in both Derby and Gun Dog, ranking as high as the #1 gun dog (weim) in North America. He is fast, fun and reliable with loads of style and intensity. He has a medium range, is a very good retriever and a good tracker. UPDATE: CHEVY TAKES NAFC 2008 AT THE WCA NATIONALS IN ARDMORE, OK! CONGRATULATIONS ALINE, NIKOLAUS AND CHEVY! Also, her sister (Jesus) and brother (Tucker) for their judges award of merit in the National Futurity.
A couple of weeks ago Feb. '09, Chevy won a 5 point major OLGD (Open Limited Gun Dog) stake (30 dogs) at the GSP club of S. Georgia. That was more than enough to complete his Field Champion title.
And just for brags, Birdie's sister Mohawk took 3rd in the AGD stake at the same trial (out of 18 starters).
Dam is Amor's Amsel zum Ziel, SH, NRD--aka "Amsel." Amsel is out of two direct German imports, is field pointed and has her Senior Hunter title as well as her Novice Retrive Dog Title. She is stylish and sweet, with a meduim range. She is an awesome retriever and tracker.
In addition to competing in the field, both dogs are used for personal hunting as well as plantation guide dogs. They will hunt all day, any day, for any one, on foot or off horseback. Both dogs are certified OFA 'Good.'
Litter is futurity nominated.
